Week 2 Analytical essay

Q Instructions The analytical essay?will be no fewer than 3 pages and no?more than 4 in length,?double-spaced,?in?a?12-point font. Essays are to be submitted in Microsoft Word only. Use APA style, including a cover page with your name and all the other information. Important: It is critical that you show me you've read the Content Weeks 1-4, and that you have participated in discussions, too. So bring in the required readings (the links for readings) using APA style, citing the best you can (Author year). I do not want to see any outside sources - this is a midterm and it's meant to measure how well you are tracking with the course content. If you are reading this in Week 1, then the best plan is take some notes each week about the required readings (the links) - and then you'll be all set to write the midterm when it comes up. It does include Week 4 even though we don't have discussions this week. Be sure to read Week 4 content before you begin the midterm. Question: It's really 3 questions in one. (1) Which type of democracy works best for you? What is it and why? (2) If you were able to change the system you "belong" to, what three changes would you introduce and why? • Be sure to cite our readings for Week 4 in supporting the proposed changes. Do you agree with our authors? (3) What results would you expect from such changes? • For example, "there would be less inequality in the system," "there would be more peace among countries," or "everyone would be happier overall" - come up with your own prediction! ? In general, the essay will demonstrate your ability to compare and contrast varying systems of government as given in Content readings. Your?professor?may want to include current events that demonstrate concepts from the course materials. Each essay should be analytical in nature, meaning that?you?use materials provided from the modules and content as support?for original arguments in answering the question. Essays are not meant to be opinion?pieces but?should be as professional as possible and written in the third person.?You?should use APA-style,?in-text citations to the readings throughout the essay to demonstrate comprehension and assimilation of the course materials.

The question of which type of democracy works best for me or us comprises of both political and individual views. As an individual concern, I itself had always a question in my mind about which form of democracy is theoretically justifiable. According to me, indirect democracy or say representative democracy will work best. As compared to direct democracy, in representative democratic government we voters choose the representative of the government and then they create the laws of the government.
